Colors are automatically generated upon loading the scan into our software. Each color is tied to tissue density (CT scan) or magnetic resonance signal intensity (MRI scan).

A 3D view of a MRI or CT scan can especially be beneficial when the audience is not medically trained. The abnormalities, if present, are more obvious, clear and understandable in 3D for untrained eyes. The model can be rotated and viewed in multiple orientations that may provide a more natural and functional view of the plaintiff’s anatomy.

We encourage our customers to let us assist them in reviewing their scans. You may only need one scan for your case, but the plaintiff has had five different scans taken. Our medical experts will review all of the plaintiff’s scans and pick the best scan which identifies the plaintiff’s actual anatomy.

Each of our neuro radiologists and general radiologists are American Board Certified radiologists, who reside and work in the United States.

We treat admissibility very seriously. The videos and still images are the ACTUAL MRI or CT scans in 2D and 3D and should be admitted into evidence. We are prepared to support you in even the most unlikely of circumstances.

In most cases, your expert will review the scans and agree this is the actual MRI or CT scan, as 3D medical software (such as ours) has been used in the clinical setting for several years. However, not all experts are the same, and we recommend the following procedure for admitting the scans:

  • We will provide you with both a color and black and white version of the video before deposing an expert. Both the color version and the traditional shades of black and white are based on tissue density, which are properties native to the original scan. Some experts may have a preference on what version is utilized.
  • Every case comes with a signed certification statement (affidavit) from our certifying neuro radiologist or general radiologist. The affidavit is one full page, and states that the videos are a fair and accurate representation” of the MRI and CT scans as they are based on the actual data from the films.
  • We can facilitate a virtual meeting with your expert via “ (or Go2Meeting)”, whereby your expert can see how our software works. gives your expert remote control over our computer. All they need is an Internet connection. They will be able to see your case through the lens of our software.
    • The expert will be able to see the familiar 2D views and see how the 2D views are completely synchronized with the 3D views (e.g. navigating in one direction in 2D will move the 3D model in the same direction).
    • Most experts are familiar with 3D as it has been in the medical community for nearly 15 years. The average session takes 8 – 10 minutes.
  • Your expert can call our certifying neuro radiologist or general radiologist (NO CHARGE to you for accessing our radiologist) with any questions. This will likely be a quick call whereby our neuro radiologist can explain how they reviewed the original scans and the 3D videos and how they are one and the same.
  • The certifying American Board Certified Radiologists also are able to testify if necessary.

As a final point, our software is FDA cleared. The FDA application process involved having an American Board Certified Radiologist authenticate numerous radiological studies using our software. The colors found in the videos or still images are assigned based on the tissue density values (called Hounsfield Units in a CT) or and signal intensity values (in an MRI), which are inherent or native to the underlying CT or MRI scan. We do not alter the data.
